Features of the Articulated Figure

Ready to visit the most mysterious library in Roswaal's mansion and meet a tiny guardian who will probably welcome you with a rather unimpressed expression? The Nendoroid 861 Beatrice Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World is here to prove that you do not need to be two metres tall or carry an enormous sword to command respect. Inspired by Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World, this figure represents Beatrice, the enigmatic librarian of Roswaal's mansion and guardian of the Forbidden Library, a place filled with magical knowledge that is not particularly easy to access. Her proud personality, sarcastic remarks and complicated relationship with Subaru Natsuki have made her one of the most beloved characters in the series. While Subaru struggles to survive increasingly complicated situations, Beatrice often prefers a much simpler solution: close the library door and hope nobody bothers her again. Of course, beneath that grumpy attitude lies a much deeper and more emotional story.

Manufactured by Good Smile Company, this collectible belongs to the popular Nendoroid range, recognised for its articulated chibi-style figures, interchangeable expressions and accessories designed to recreate memorable moments from anime and video games. Made from PVC, it stands approximately 10 cm tall, making it an excellent addition to display cabinets, desks and shelves dedicated to your favourite characters. A base and figure stand are included to help display Beatrice in different positions. Her appearance faithfully recreates the most recognisable elements of her design, including her elaborate blonde ringlets, expressive eyes and distinctive Victorian-inspired dress, complete with decorative details that capture her elegant yet eccentric personality. These characteristic features bring the mysterious librarian to life within the compact proportions of the Nendoroid collection, although she would probably prefer not to be disturbed while reading.

One of the highlights of this articulated figure is its selection of three interchangeable face plates, featuring her usual grumpy expression, an angry face and a cheerful smiling expression similar to the one she often shows when spending time with Puck. These options allow you to capture both her proud, distant attitude and those moments when her more affectionate personality becomes visible. Among the included accessories is a Puck figure, representing the cat-like spirit who shares a particularly close bond with Beatrice, alongside a library stepladder and two books. These items provide several opportunities to recreate scenes inspired by her familiar surroundings, filled with magical knowledge and endless bookshelves. Beatrice can also be displayed sitting on the stepladder, making it possible to create a charming miniature reading corner that perfectly reflects her role as the guardian of the Forbidden Library.

Its combination of accessories, interchangeable expressions and display possibilities makes this collectible an excellent addition for Beatrice fans, Japanese figure collectors and anyone looking to assemble the characters from Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World. Its compact size makes it easy to display alongside other Nendoroid figures from the franchise, including Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, Rem and Ram, sold separately, allowing you to recreate meetings at Roswaal's mansion or everyday moments from a story where things rarely go according to plan. It also makes a thoughtful gift for fans who appreciate characters whose apparently cold behaviour conceals a surprisingly sensitive and caring personality. Owning this figure will not give you access to a magical library or teach you forbidden spells while studying, but it will certainly provide a charming tribute to one of the series' most endearing characters. And if you ever feel that Beatrice is staring disapprovingly at you from the shelf, perhaps you should consider organising your books properly, I suppose.
