Nobita Nobi is a clumsy, rather lazy and incredibly unlucky boy whose everyday life seems to be filled with one problem after another. Everything changes, however, when a mysterious robotic cat from the future suddenly appears in his life. Sent from the 22nd century by Nobita's descendants, Doraemon has a very important mission: help the boy change his fate and prevent his mistakes from ruining the future of his family.

To achieve this, Doraemon relies on the incredible gadgets stored inside his magical four-dimensional pocket. Devices such as the “Anywhere Door” and the “Take-copter” can make almost anything possible, from travelling instantly to distant places to flying through the sky. For Nobita, these inventions often look like the perfect solution to every school problem, argument or embarrassing situation he finds himself in.

Unfortunately, Nobita has a remarkable talent for turning even the most useful futuristic gadget into the beginning of a new disaster. His attempts to take shortcuts, impress his friends or get revenge on those who annoy him frequently spiral out of control, dragging Doraemon, Shizuka, Gian and Suneo into increasingly ridiculous situations. Behind all the chaos, though, the stories also celebrate friendship, imagination and the importance of learning from your mistakes rather than simply looking for an easy way out.
