The people of Iorph live far from the lands of men, weaving everyday events into a cloth called Hibiol. Maquia is a young orphan Iorph who, despite living in peace surrounded by friends, always feels alone. But the peaceful lives of the Iorph are shattered at the moment when the Mezarte army invades them in search of the blood that allows them to stay young for centuries. In the midst of desperation and chaos, Maquia finds Ariel, a baby who has been left alone after losing his parents. Ariel is growing older while Maquia retains his youth and as the era changes, the bond between them also changes...
