Synopsis of Volume 8 of Lamu (Urusei Yatsura)

No matter how many bizarre supernatural beings appear and attack Ataru, nothing seems to cause quite as much trouble as the disasters he brings upon himself. His chaotic life is already difficult enough, but the arrival of a new rival, Shutaro Mendo, pushes the madness to an entirely new level.

With another strong personality entering the picture, rivalries, misunderstandings and absurd situations begin piling up faster than ever. Ataru's talent for making every situation worse remains fully intact, while Lamu continues to get caught in the middle of his ridiculous decisions.

Still, life cannot be all disasters and arguments. Somewhere between the supernatural chaos and the endless trouble, Ataru finally gets the chance to go on a date with Lamu, proving that even the most chaotic relationships can have their unexpectedly sweet moments.
