The Phantom Thieves of Hearts have become a mysterious and widely discussed presence throughout the capital. Their actions against corrupt adults spark rumors, theories, and plenty of questions, although behind that almost legendary image are seemingly ordinary high school students accompanied by a rather unusual black cat. When the president of an audiovisual company becomes the victim of an attempted murder, the situation turns far more suspicious than expected.

Doctor Takemi comes under suspicion over the possible creation of poisons, while the owner of a military goods shop appears to be involved in a shady job. To uncover what truly lies behind the case, Ren Amamiya, leader of the Phantom Thieves, decides to join forces with high school detective Goro Akechi. Together with his companions, they must follow the clues and face a truth that connects more pieces than it first seemed. This volume also includes an extra story starring Goro Akechi and prosecutor Sae Niijima.
