Features of the 55pt magnetic clear case for standard cards

Not all trading cards share the same thickness. Some stand out with premium foil layers, special finishes, or parallel designs that require additional space. For those thicker pieces, the 55pt Magnetic Clear Case by Ultimate Guard provides the proper fit and protection. When a card carries extra detail or value, a standard holder may not be enough.

In card collecting, “pt” stands for point, a thickness measurement in thousandths of an inch. A standard card measures around 12pt. The 55pt format is intended for cards noticeably thicker than average, such as premium parallels or specialty finishes. This ensures the card sits securely inside the case without being compressed or left with excessive internal movement.

This case features UV protection, helping to reduce light exposure effects on artwork and color over time. It also includes enhanced corners to prevent the card’s edges from pressing directly against the frame. This is especially important for collectors aiming to preserve Mint or Near Mint condition.

The strong magnetic closure allows the case to open and close easily without screws or tools. Once sealed, it remains securely closed, protecting the card from dust, bending, and frequent handling. The material is acid-free and offers high transparency, ensuring that artwork and foil effects remain fully visible without distortion.

With outer dimensions of 73 x 7.9 x 110.5 mm, it is designed to hold one thicker standard card securely.
