Features of the Articulated Figure

If you are the kind of person who manages to stay calm even when everything around you is turning into complete chaos, this Nendoroid 1408 Giyu Tomioka Kimetsu no Yaiba might become your new favourite display companion. Inspired by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, it features Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, known for his reserved personality, outstanding swordsmanship and permanent expression of someone who would rather be anywhere else than involved in an awkward conversation. Its design captures the character's personality in chibi form, combining his usual seriousness with different expressions and accessories that allow you to recreate some of his most memorable moments. After all, Giyu might not be particularly talkative, but once he draws his Nichirin Blade, words become completely unnecessary.

Manufactured by Good Smile Company, this collectible belongs to the popular Nendoroid range, known for its articulated figures, adorable proportions, interchangeable faces and numerous display possibilities. Made from PVC, it stands approximately 10 cm tall, making it an excellent addition to display cabinets, desks and shelves dedicated to anime merchandise. A base and figure stand are included to help you display Giyu in different positions. His appearance faithfully represents the most recognisable elements of the Water Hashira, including his Demon Slayer uniform and distinctive two-pattern haori, one of the details that makes him immediately recognisable among the members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

One of the main attractions of this articulated figure is its selection of three interchangeable face plates, allowing you to display Giyu with his standard expression, an angry face or a surprisingly amusing shocked expression. The set also features a highly detailed Water Breathing effect part, perfect for recreating his fighting techniques and producing more dynamic displays. This effect has been recreated with even greater detail than the corresponding parts included with Nendoroid Tanjiro Kamado. Additionally, a special sheet allows you to recreate Water Breathing, Eleventh Form: Dead Calm, one of his signature techniques, capturing that remarkable stillness before an opponent discovers that getting too close was a terrible decision. His Kasugai Crow is also included, providing another recognisable element from the series and allowing you to build scenes inspired by his missions as a demon slayer.

With its selection of accessories and expressions, this figure allows you to recreate both dramatic battles and comedic situations, proving that even one of the most serious Hashira can deliver moments worthy of an anime comedy. Its compact size makes it easy to display alongside other characters from the collection, particularly Tanjiro Kamado and the other Demon Slayer Corps members, each sold separately. It is an excellent choice for Giyu Tomioka fans, collectors of Japanese figures and anyone who enjoys customising their anime displays. Owning it will not teach you Water Breathing, nor will it suddenly give you the reflexes of a Hashira, but at least you will have someone nearby who knows how to remain composed when everything starts falling apart. And if your collection is growing faster than your available shelf space, that kind of calm might be exactly what you need.
