Features of the Articulated Figure

Ready to infiltrate the Metaverse, change corrupted hearts and prove that a great leader does not need endless speeches to earn everyone's respect? The Nendoroid 989 Joker Ren Amamiya Persona 5 is ready to become the centrepiece of your collection with all the elegance, mystery and charisma associated with the leader of the Phantom Thieves. Inspired by the popular video game Persona 5, this figure represents Ren Amamiya, better known as Joker, the transfer student at Shujin Academy who eventually leads a group of young heroes capable of entering Metaverse Palaces to confront the distorted desires of their enemies. His reserved personality, remarkable ability to improvise and unusual double life as both a student and a vigilante make him one of the most recognisable protagonists in Japanese gaming. While some heroes need enormous suits of armour to save the world, Joker proves that a stylish coat, a mysterious mask and a carefully organised schedule are enough to balance exams, friendships and supernatural battles.

Manufactured by Good Smile Company, this collectible belongs to the popular Nendoroid range, recognised for its articulated chibi-style figures, interchangeable expressions and accessories designed to recreate memorable moments from anime and video games. Made from PVC, it stands approximately 10 cm tall, making it an excellent addition to display cabinets, desks and shelves dedicated to your favourite characters. Its design faithfully recreates Joker's Phantom Thief outfit, featuring his long black coat, distinctive red gloves and iconic white mask, the elements that define his appearance during missions in the Metaverse. These characteristic details make the protagonist immediately recognisable while capturing his sophisticated style within the compact proportions of the Nendoroid collection. It is an excellent option for collectors looking for a figure with plenty of personality without needing to sacrifice an entire shelf, although gathering the rest of his companions might eventually change that situation.

One of the highlights of this articulated figure is its selection of two interchangeable face plates, featuring a standard expression and a confident grin. However, its customisation possibilities go much further thanks to the inclusion of a removable mask and interchangeable eye parts, which allow you to create a total of eight different facial display combinations. The accessories also include his knife and gun, the signature weapons he uses when confronting Shadows during his adventures. Additionally, the mask can be positioned in his hand, allowing you to recreate one of the character's most recognisable gestures before summoning his Persona. These components provide numerous opportunities to build displays inspired by Persona summoning sequences, the stylish finishing moments of All-Out Attacks or those situations where Joker calmly watches his enemies realise they have challenged the wrong student. With several expressions and accessories available, you can capture both his mysterious attitude and his more playful confidence.

Its combination of articulation, accessories and interchangeable expressions makes this collectible an excellent addition for Ren Amamiya fans, Japanese figure collectors and role-playing game enthusiasts looking to assemble the Phantom Thieves. Its compact size makes it easy to display alongside other Nendoroid figures from the franchise, including Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki and Yusuke Kitagawa, sold separately, allowing you to recreate meetings at Café Leblanc, Palace infiltrations or confrontations against powerful enemies. It also makes a great gift for fans who appreciate intelligent, charismatic characters capable of remaining composed even when their carefully prepared plans start falling apart. Owning this figure will not allow you to summon Arsène or use the Metaverse to convince your boss to approve your next holiday, but it will certainly provide a charming tribute to one of Persona 5's most beloved protagonists. And remember, if you ever receive a calling card from the Phantom Thieves, you might want to reconsider your recent decisions before Joker arrives to steal your heart.
