Synopsis of the Novel of World of Warcraft: The War of the Dragons

When the world was young, all life trembled before the power of Galakrond, a massive primordial dragon whose hunger could not be sated. Five primordial dragons rose bravely alongside the titan-forged Guardian Tyr to combat this threat. Though the fight was desperate, Galakrond fell to their teeth and claws, and the five were chosen to become protectors of Azeroth. The titans bestowed upon Nozdormu, Ysera, Alexstrasza, Malygos, and Neltharion the magic of the Order, transforming them into the Aspects: powerful dragons with dominion over time, nature, life, magic, and even the earth itself. Other primordial dragons followed their path and, imbued with the power of the titans, the Flights rose to shape the world and serve the Aspects.
