Synopsis of Volume 17 of Chained Soldier

One of Japan's most popular manga series reveals how Yûki Wakura ends up becoming the servant of Kyôka, one of the leaders of the Anti-Demon Corps. The story takes place in a dystopian present where mysterious gates connect the human world to a parallel dimension inhabited by terrifying monsters that attack anyone who crosses their path. Humanity's survival depends on those capable of fighting back, but there is one unusual condition: only women can obtain the supernatural powers needed to face these creatures.

The source of these abilities lies in magical peaches found within the other world. When consumed by women, the fruit grants them extraordinary powers, creating an elite force capable of standing against the demonic threat. Yûki, however, finds himself in a very different position. Rather than becoming a conventional fighter, he is drawn into Kyôka's service and becomes an essential part of her combat ability under a unique master-and-servant bond.

As battles become increasingly dangerous, Yûki must adapt to a role unlike anything he ever imagined. His relationship with Kyôka continues to evolve through intense combat, strange power dynamics and unexpected moments of trust, while the secrets surrounding the parallel world and its monsters grow more complex. Action, supernatural abilities and provocative humour combine in a story where survival depends on cooperation in the most unusual form possible.
