Prerelease kit and booster prize distribution

Each participant will receive a The Hobbit Prerelease Kit containing the material required to build a deck and compete in the sealed tournament. There is no need to bring a pre-constructed deck: you will open your kit, examine the available cards and carefully choose which resources will accompany you through the rounds. As with every worthwhile journey, improvisation, strategy and making the best use of what you discover will be essential.

Booster prizes will be awarded according to the final standings. The structure rewards performance throughout the tournament while ensuring that every player receives booster packs based on their finishing position, from first place through to fifteenth.

Participation material: The Hobbit Prerelease Kit.

Top prizes: 2nd place: 4 booster packs; 3rd place: 3 booster packs; 4th place: 3 booster packs; 5th to 8th place: 2 booster packs per player; 9th to 15th place: 1 booster pack per player.

Winner prize: 5 booster packs.

The BO3 format means that each match will be played as a best-of-three contest, giving you the opportunity to adapt your strategy after the opening game. You will need to understand the deck built from your kit, make good use of your sideboard and decide when to advance boldly or proceed with the caution of someone who knows that not every road to victory is safe.
