This manga is an adaptation of the great novel by Alexandre Dumas of the same title. The story tells how a humble young man, Edmundo Dantés, in love but very qualified is betrayed by the jealousy of those around him. To distance him from his great love, the public prosecutor accuses him of a crime he did not commit and manages to lock him in the Castle of If. This prison is impregnable and is forever. But our protagonist knows there an old man who says he knows where to find a huge treasure and will share it with him if they manage to escape.
Edmundo gets it and finds the treasure. Revenge. That's all you can think about. And he will use the money, the years passed and the wisdom acquired to carry out his revenge. And how! Under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo will make everyone have their deserved and maybe a little more.
