Synopsis of The Apothecary Diaries Volume 14

Maomao is a young servant working within the imperial palace during a setting inspired by ancient China. Before arriving at court, she lived in the pleasure district where she worked as an apothecary, gaining extensive knowledge of herbs, medicines, poisons, and illnesses. Although she initially intends to keep a low profile, her sharp intellect and endless curiosity soon draw her into the dangerous intrigues hidden behind the palace walls.

Everything begins when rumors spread that the emperor’s children are mysteriously dying at a very young age. Unable to ignore the strange circumstances, Maomao secretly starts investigating the causes using her medical knowledge and deductive skills. Her discoveries quickly attract the attention of Jinshi, a mysterious and influential court official who recognizes her remarkable talents. From that moment onward, Maomao becomes entangled in a web of political conspiracies, hidden schemes, and dangerous secrets that threaten the delicate balance of the imperial court.
