Zombicide 2E: Fort Hendrix Board Game Expansion expands Zombicide Second Edition with a narrative campaign set inside an abandoned United States military base. The Survivors may have discovered a clue to the origin of the outbreak: Doctor Kirkland, the mother of their friend Penny, worked as a biologist at Fort Hendrix before civilisation collapsed. Entering the facility could provide the answers they need, although it appears that the army never completely left the base behind.

Designed by Raphaël Guiton, Jean-Baptiste Lullien and Nicolas Raoult, this expansion tells its story through 10 connected missions. The decisions made by the group create consequences, open new opportunities and may alter the challenges faced in later chapters. Survivors can retain certain Equipment cards between games, earn achievements and unlock exclusive skills, providing a sense of persistent progression throughout the Campaign Game.

The greatest threat waiting inside Fort Hendrix is the introduction of Shooter Walkers. These undead soldiers still remember how to operate their assault rifles, allowing them to attack Survivors from a distance. Their presence changes the usual tactical approach to Zombicide, as keeping the horde on the opposite side of a street or corridor may no longer provide enough protection. The group must prioritise these enemies and carefully plan its movement before incoming fire compromises the entire mission.

The expansion also uses All-Out rules, allowing players to push compatible weapons beyond their normal capabilities with the special dice included in the box. Taking this risk can produce a considerably stronger attack, but an unfortunate result may break the weapon. Deciding when to preserve valuable equipment and when to unleash its full power becomes especially important when the Survivors’ defensive position is about to collapse.

Night-time rules and a special Clock token represent the passing of time during the missions. Darkness reduces visibility, makes certain attacks more difficult and turns exploration into an even more dangerous task. Objective cards introduce important narrative choices, while the campaign sheet pad records equipment, achievements and the development of the group throughout the story.

Fort Hendrix includes six new Survivors, one Companion, six Shooter Walkers, new cards and six double-sided game tiles used to construct the military base and its surroundings. Recommended for 1 to 6 players aged 14 and up, with missions lasting approximately 60 minutes, it is designed for groups looking for an ongoing campaign with character progression and new tactical challenges. A copy of Zombicide Second Edition is required to play. Fort Hendrix may contain the answers the Survivors need, but its former soldiers have no intention of surrendering them without a fight.
