Since his first appearance in the arcade Donkey Kong under the name of Jumpman, Mario has come a long way to become one of the most important characters in the history of video games. The first Super Mario Bros for NES was perhaps the most decisive game on this path, as it introduced some of the hallmarks that have since been repeatedly associated with Mario, such as the Mushroom Kingdom or mushrooms items of different colors. While a red mushroom allowed Mario to increase in size, a green mushroom gave him an extra life to continue the game. It's said that Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, was inspired by literature, in which mushrooms are often associated with magical worlds and with changes in size (as in Alice in Wonderland, for example). This 3D light works with batteries (2 AA batteries not included) and it has a height of 10 centimeters. It has the shape and color of one of the green mushrooms of Super Mario Bros. Its upper part is green with white circles. In the lower part you can see the funny eyes of the mushroom. Also, when turned on it emits the same sound that the green mushrooms produce when picked up in the game. This light is an official and licensed product of Nintendo and it has been manufactured by Paladone.
